Gelatin Printing with a Gelli Plate

Gelatin printing is a form of monoprinting in which a gelatin slab is used as a printing plate along with acrylic paints or water-soluble inks to create images. Unlike many other printing methods, very little pressure is required to make monoprints using this technique. This class will focus on making monotype prints using a Gelli plate. If you like printmaking or are curious about printmaking, this class is for you. Utilize simple mark-making tools, stencils, rubber stamps, and masks to produce a variety of prints. Create greeting cards, artist trading cards, frameable art, and more, and leave with your own printing plate!
