Intermediate Slip Casting

Bring your own project ideas and consult with the instructor for individualized demonstrations that will expand your knowledge and understanding of plaster molds, cone 10 porcelain slip, underglaze colors, and high-fire glazes. Build on existing skills and experiment with new techniques through self-directed projects in this intermediate-level casting class. Students must be comfortable hand building, processing plaster, mixing slip, and making two-part molds. This course is intended for those who have previously taken ceramic slip casting or mold-making classes.
