Pots Off the Wheel: Hand Building Pottery


Explore inventive hand-building techniques for making functional pottery in this fun and informative class. Students will be introduced to a variety of projects that utilize slabs, extruded elements, and pinching techniques. Learn to create your own simple templates and bisque molds. Follow along with demonstrations to discover the relaxed pace and creative potential of hand building. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with underglaze pencils and underglaze colors, in addition to standard high-fire glazes. All levels are welcome.
