Annual Celebration of Nancy Holt’s Time Span
Land art pioneer Nancy Holt framed the landscape with her site-specific sculptures. She completed Time Span on “4-5-81 2:00,” as inscribed on a plaque on the ground near her sculpture at Laguna Gloria. This date is also the artist’s birthday.
On that date and time, come see how the sculpture’s steel wheel casts a shadow around the plaque and brings into focus a view of the park in springtime.
