An online portal will be shared ahead of the event to upload either your proof of vaccination or recent negative test. While the majority of the event will be held outdoors in open air, masks will be required indoors.

Auction

The Contemporary Austin’s 2021 Benefit Auction hosted by Sotheby’s is open for bidding! Anyone can bid in the online auction now through October 18 or contact us to place an absentee bid in the live auction taking place October 16.

We encourage Art Dinner guests to download the app and register as a bidder in advance.

The auction includes contemporary art ranging from photography, painting, and original drawings, to local artisan jewelry and priceless art experiences. The museum will offer up to 50% of the sale price back to participating artists, thus with each art purchase you are supporting The Contemporary Austin’s Mission AND an artist directly.

Support the Laguna Gloria Art Fund

Laguna Gloria has come to be recognized for its world class art nestled within the unique and magical landscape of this lakeside gem. We’re asking you to join us in investing in our city’s creative landscape by contributing to the Laguna Gloria Art Fund.

Starting this fall, we will be launching a new, two-year series of seasonal artist-driven projects that activate Laguna Gloria. The debut work in this endeavor is a site-specific sound sculpture, Foghorn Elegy, by Austin-based artist Steve Parker that will engage and delight audiences of all ages.

The Edward and Betty Marcus Foundation has generously pledged to match the funds we raise for this project. Help us reach our goal of $250K this October to bring the Laguna Gloria Art Fund to life. To support this initiative, simply raise your paddle following the live auction or contact Elise Embry to make a donation ahead of October 16.
