The Contemporary Austin offers FREE hands-on art-making workshops each month, inspired by the exhibitions on view. Join us to see family-friendly performances, meet local artists, and make art to take home. Recommended for ages 2–11. Reservations are requested to participate in art-making workshops due to limited space; please reserve your spot at the links below beginning the 1st of each month.

The Contemporary Austin’s Laguna Gloria is proud to take part in the Austin Museum Partnership’s annual citywide cultural celebration. Along with over forty institutions around Austin, we offer engaging performances, art-making activities, artist demonstrations, docent-led tours of the exhibitions, and free admission. Ring in the holiday season at The Contemporary! As part of the Downtown Austin Alliance’s Holiday Sing-Along and Downtown Stroll on Saturday, December 3, 2016, The Contemporary offers free admission and extended hours till 9P, so stop by and visit the exhibition Monika Sosnowska: Habitat at the Jones Center after the tree lighting at the Capitol.
